Drummers: What is my drum set worth selling in online auctions? More info ..?
If you are a drummer and have experience with buying drum kits, please help me to come with a price for everything I have. What would you pay for .. Mapex M Series 5-piece 22 "Bass (hydraulic heads) 3 toms (10", 12 "and 14 ") 14" Snare Heavey duty Mapex symbol. (Sabian B8 Series) 14 "hi-hat symbols, 20" ride, 16 "thin crash, 12" splash and Sabain AAX 8 "splash with all symbol .. All these are very Heavey duty. About the best I could find. Double Bass Pedal (with an additional single bass pedal) Very nice red maple shells. I love my drums, but as soon as the money. What should I try and get them ..? Thanks I got over 1900 in the whole kit .. Do you think it would sell for about 1000? I actually paid about $ 2,400 all together (only one other retailer, the drum kit for $ 733.00 plus shipping), so that screwed me a bit. None big deal
I agree with both other answers. your kit is worth $ 1,000, but I dont know how many people would be willing to pay. understand that you overpaid for hardware. while this is nice, people tend to not care how heavy duty stand is. You will most of the money from the drums. im not sure it would get more …. sell everything individually or as a whole. but it's something to consider. if you live in a big city, you could probably craigslist for 1000. People are more willing to pay more money when they physically see what they are buying before they pay for, ya know? Plus, you should not have to worry about shipping. I know in Chicago, there are 50 + Drum posts a day! anyways, sounds like you're in the margin by knowing what its worth. next step is a little research and what people are willing to pay to see!
